Hi Letsforum!

Do search engines still use Keyword Meta Tags to help rank a page/site? I've read from several places online, including Yoast, that meta keywords are no longer consider and in fact, you may be penalized for using them. Thoughts?

Cheers

Many sites have them but it's useless for Google, Bing and Yahoo. Other engines who cares!

It is no more counted as on-page factor to have for any website, Many are still using it, you can use it as well but it will not put any impact for keyword ranking

Yes,The Meta Keyword Tag Still Used By Google, Bing and Yahoo. The debates are based on an article published by Matt Cutts of Google released in September of 2009. The article, which was also accompanied by a video, informed us that Google no longer uses meta keyword tags as a SEO ranking factor.

Yes, they are. Make sure you correctly optimize your title and meta tags because it tells Google what your content is all about
