I have noticed that web site description shown on Google search results is different from website meta tag description why? Have Google stopped using description meta tag just like keywords tag or what I need someone to explain what is going on?

Yes Google still uses "meta tag description" however now it gives more wait to web sites content, this a great idea that prevents search engine manipulation. Google has stopped using meta tag keywords for the same reason! Google mostly uses web page content and very rarely description tag or it could be using them together.

Yes but not very often! I think description meta tag will go away very soon as many use it to fool search engine Google now cares about search results more than ever so I see this inevitable! Website content now is used instead of description tag!

Google sucks with all its constant updates! Whatever works now might not work tomorrow. It's extremely difficult for a webmaster to do search engine optimization if Google doesn't cooperate!
