30-40 seconds to load a page that is like worst situation of all really can't stress enough how bad that is!

Buddy the site loading under 5 sec is OK more than that is bad the site will go down in Google rankings for sure! Get better hosting or decrease page size which is another important factor in #SEO!

that faster the loading time the better, 30-40 seconds is quite long to load and it will also affect your customers or visitors.

Always remember this it only take 7seconds to captured a users attention, having a long period of loading can contribute into a higher probability of bounce rate.

The maximum time to load a website should be 7 seconds. 30-40 seconds is quite a long time to load. To reduce the time, you need to minimize HTTP requests, reduce server response time, enable compression, enable browser caching, minify resources, optimize images, optimize CSS delivery, etc.

On shared #hosting load time is normally from 5 to 7 sec more than that creams an issue!

Google declared that page speed would impact your website ranking. It basically relates to the time a visitor have to wait until your page is completely loaded. On average, a page load for e-commerce website takes 7 seconds meanwhile the ideal load time is around 3 seconds or less. As a topic of fact, it has an effect on your audience user knowledge. And over all, a slow page load is penalized by the google and has an effect on your ranking, both on mobile and desktop devices.

Yes, page loading speed is an important part of ranking. Google search works on more than 200 signals for ranking and displays the most appropriate results. Also, Google timely updates its search algorithms to generate more advanced ways of ranking websites. As small screen display devices are contributing more towards online search and browsing, page load time has become one of the important factors for ranking.
Google provides the best information on top for any search query made by users and works on page loading speed to make user experience more satisfactory. Several web development companies are now taking the page loading speed factor as one of the main priorities to rank the website on top in search results. Slow page loading speed can drive the visitors away from a website.

Page speed refers to the amount of time a page needs to be completely loaded. Page speed depends on many different factors, from host to design and can be optimized. The website load time does matter for the users as a fast loading website also converts better.

By all means, YES. Website loading time affects the ranking of it. Consider a situation when a person clicks on your website and it takes lot of time to open. As a result, the visitor returns to some other website for the same search query. Guess what, he just had a negative experience with your website and search engine is smart enough to know that. He gets you negative marking and place you below your current position in SERP.

Page speed is important to user experience. Pages with a longer load time tend to have higher bounce rates and lower average time on page. Longer load times have also been shown to negatively affect conversions.

30-40 seconds are way too much. Minimize the page loading speeding more. If your website is created on WordPress, then use WP Super Cache for this purpose. Slow page loading speed will definitely affect the rating of your website and also it will increase the bounce rate of your website which is not good for SEO.
