The popular belief has been that older domains do better in search results and are given extra favor due to their age. The idea is that an older domain that has been established has earned a greater level of trust with Google than a younger domain that is not as established. This is according to the reasearch of Matt Cutts, which is somehow right cause older domain only means that the website gets establish its credibility.

The short answer to the question is yes, domain age is an important SEO factor for your Google ranking. Among the hundreds of weighting factors that Google considers in determining how to rank search engine results is the age of your domain — in other words, how long that domain has been around.

Matt Cutts states that: “The difference between a domain that’s six months old versus one year old is really not that big at all.”.

I don't think so it’s play important role in seo ranking factor.

Some #SEOExperts claim that renewing a domain name for many years upfront means better rankings as that is an indication of trust and seriousness!

Yes i think Domain Age is still matter; Google give more preference to OLD website as compare to new website.
Sandbox a term popular in SEO community, that means Google keep every new website in sandbox for 6 months to 1 year and prevent it to rank well quickly for competitive keywords.

Domain age is the important parameter, if the site is new, the probability of reaching the higher traffic and indexing is more, thus for the older domain indexing and increase of DA and PA will be more

Yes. Domain Age matters a lot in SEO as search engines will be able to trust easily on old domains. Therefore, search engine will index old domains faster and also will improve its DA and PA.
