Guys I have a question, how do I know that FTP filezilla is not sending my FTP server configuration (username and password) to the website or someone that developed it?

How would you be able to log in if the program did not send your creds?

FTP FIleZilla is well known and trusted software, if your download some bogus FTP software then there is no guaranty that it won't be some kind of fishing software

filezilla like all FTP software is only as secure as the ftp protocol you are using. And the only semi "secure" one is sftp.

The GUI front end adds more possible security issues to the metrics of your overall security. Look at all the known and open exploits for ftp and filezilla even Wink

FTP is a lazy mans way to administrate a server. Learn to use SSH and SCP
