Yesterday I changed my hosting server and also changed the name servers of my domain. Today when tried log onto my site I get this message and nothing else:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

I don't know what's this since I am a new site owner. I can access my current hosting cpnael and also my domain's cpanel.

Please share your URL in this format: example(dot)com

Please contact your hosting provider and tell them about this issue I believe it's cased by the folder permissions that has to be 755 and in your case it's different!

To eliminate DNS issues please create a simple html page like this one:

Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<title>Untitled Document</title>
</head>
<body>
<h1>This is a test</h1>
</body>
</html>

Save it as test.html and then upload it to your server main directory. Then try to visit it like this: yoursite.com/test.html if you see the "This is a test" then it means you have permissions issue!

What script do you use MYBB?

Thanks for your reply. I have asked the support center as you suggested and they have said that since name servers have been changed it will take up to fourty-eight hours to get my site alive.
I have also checked The permission settings and it's seven-five-zero for public_html, seven-five-five for folders inside public_html and six-four-four for files. Is that alright?
My site is running on Wordpress. So I think the above HTML code won't be needed.

Suggestion! If you're a paid member then any questions related to server configuration is best to ask your hosting provider directly as they are obligated to support you, because there is no doubt you will get a ton of suggestions here but trying all of them could make the issue worse.

Wink yeah, sometimes it's true! Too many cooks spoil the broth! However, I will wait as my hosting provider told me to do so. Hope to get my site live again.

when i encounter similar issue some minor things are often missing, that are
  1. not setting proper root directory for domain
  2. no index fine in the root folder
