Both Magento and Wordpress are perfect choice for developing a website. However, there is a difference between the end product of both the content management systems - the website. Magento makes a website to have more complex functions than websites that are made through Wordpress. Most of the huge e-commerce websites that have 100 or more webpages are usually made out of Magento. If the preference is a light weight website then Wordpress is the best.

Both are good. Magento is best for ecommerce sites and WordPress is best for CMS.

Between Magento and Wordpress, I'd go for the latter. I'm not sure if it was just me, but the former was a little complicated to use. Ideally that is for e-commerce.

Magento is the best CMS for your eCommerce stores. Whether it is Startup or an established Business, Magento serves excellent features to its developers. It is a feature-rich platform that gives complete flexibility to the merchants along with great functionality for their online channel.

On the surface, both the platforms are architecturally similar. They are both customizable, SEO friendly, can be broadly themed, and have a strong online support community.

If you have a small budget or have very few products then we suggest wordpress or if you have more then 10000 products or you are expecting heavy traffic for your store from the very begining then we suggest Magento .

You need to choose Magento when you have a large number of products to display.. If you have limited products let say less then 500 then you can go with wordpress CMS for your ecommerce website.

I think you should use Magento if your site is mainly focus on eCommerce or online store. Otherwise use Wordpress for almost other popular purposes.

I agree with your opinion. However, I have never used Magento, whether Magento has many plugins like wordpress or not, is Magento suitable for newbies to learn about?

Both are best in their own ways. But I guess word press is better than Magento because it has more functionalities for your website. And other reason is that you can design any kind of website on Wordpress but Magento is basically used for e Commerce development
