One of the top question on the internet and among eBay sellers is “ how do I make money on eBay” Well make money on eBay is very simple you buy cheap, then you sell it to make profit! It doesn't get easier than that!

So here are common reasons why people fail making money on eBay!

Selling high risk items
Of-course you can expect the most profit form high risk items, however chances are you'll only be able to sell a couple of them before run into a trouble with the eBay policy. Selling just a couple of high risk items and for what, just to get your account banned isn't a business model, and it won't help you make you any consistent income neither. So stop trying to sell that Rolex, Hermes bag, or whatever it is that you're trying to sell for like $2-5 thousand dollars!.

Fast money
It is very unlikely to "get rich overnight", however it is entirely possible to "get rich" if you know what to do! One of common mistakes new eBay sellers make is to list about a million items up in hope of making money fast but instead they get banned! After receiving such a blow that is highly de-motivational they decide that it's impossible to make money on eBay. So the trick is to go slow but steady!

Not enough items to sell
The rule of e-commerce states that you need to have a product to sell in order to make money doesn't mater online or not! Don't be afraid that you don't know what to sell on eBay. Go to eBay and do a quick search there on “eBay hot items”. Find-out what are the best selling items on eBay. Then go to Google and research on that item or product like "wholesale" + item name, more than likely you'll be able to come up with some items. Even if the item is from China, you should be able to sell it pretty quickly and get pretty good good returns if the quality is on par, in fact - about 80% of eBay is flooded with Chinese items.

At the end making money on eBay isn't that hard, in fact – it is one of the easiest ways to make money online. But the trick is that you need to know how to do it, the right way.

Google for "cheap china products" find which ones are the most popular and then go-ahead and check the popularity of that product on eBay. Everybody wants to make money online easy form home, but the difference between a winner and a loser is what a winner makes research to make sure he or she will make profit with the minimum amount of risk!

Be very careful with selling those cheap china products on eBay! They brake to often and you will be losing money, because your customers will be requesting refund, money back!

Though the bigger the risk, generally comes with a bigger reward in the end, but if you fall in the end you fall much harder. Research is key for any and everything, know your product and consumers like nothing else.

Ebay is good for what it is, a place to sell and buy cheep stuff but not for making money. Maybe at the beginning of Ebay era it was easy to make money on Ebay but now the competition is just to high.

Cool advice @josephgalindo except one thing. Do you honestly believe that someone who's making a living from eBay will openly share with all the internet marketers his secrets... I don't think so.

how to make money on ebay, But yet they had achievements with eBay. It was due to the point that it created no distinction what you marketed, how you marketed it, when you marketed it, etc…. eBay customers, returning then, were spending more for items on eBay, than they would have just by going to their regional shop. That’s how insane it was!!!

I am a Power Seller (Top Rated Seller) on eBay - and yes it is possible to make money.
I average around £300 / £400 per month

You need to make sure your items are of good quality - be careful of the items from China.
You also need to make sure your Product Description is detailed
