If you are a great writer, you can make a decent amount of money but it takes time to build your reputation. I would steer clear from places that ask you to invest this amount of money and promise this in return. A lot of us have tried them and they don't work.
I write content, social media updates and found that doing this, I find gigs that pay the same day. If you are good at internet research, some people will pay you the same day to enter keywords into search engine and enter the URLs into a spreadsheet, paying you a per entry fee (link) or flat rate. But it requires being online constantly and doing a lot of browsing, weeding through the scams and establishing a client base, which will give you work on a consistent basis.
Most people who claim to have made $1000 in an hour online, either got lucky or are using a marketing tactic to pull you in and they probably invested $2000 in a product or business, found one person to purchase whatever they were selling and that was their commission.
There are a few companies that if you work hard, you can make great residual income. You just have to do your research.
Hope this helps.
