PR was a value that represented the coolness of your site the higher the value the more powerful and valuable the site was for Google. This meant high rankings in SERP which is a page that shows results.

Search engine result page shows website according to their ranking which is given by google and page rank is used to give ranking of websites according to google crawlers.
Both are totally different. PR provide by google depending upon website traffic and back links. SERP position is an keyword position in google.

PR is used by the Google once, it provided the rank for every website by its quality. But it was not in use now.
SERP is the search result page, in which websites are listed based on the relevancy of the keyword.
