You right the internet is loaded with so called experts and companies presumably knowing how to increase rankings and PR. But if they would to know the secret why wouldn't they create their own online business and make a ton of money there instead of taking our cash. All of them use pretty much the same tools and have same knowledge so it's like they're all the same. And since they're the same I would not spend more money on the service claiming they can do better than others

Really this is hectic and daunting task but still we can choose a best company among thousands of company.
You may ask them for their strategies to rank up your site and ask them for current clients and its reports. If you find any similarity in their strategies, result and report you can choose them.
