A 301, or permanently moved, is a redirect that carries and distributes in an absolute manner. You should use a 301 to signify to the crawlers that your content has moved permanently – as in forever.

A 302 status code means Found, or more commonly referred to as “temporarily moved.” This redirect doesn’t carry or pass the link value to the new location. What it does do is get the user to an appropriate location for you so that you aren’t showing them a broken link, a 404 page not found, or an error page.

Status 301 means that the resource (page) is moved permanently to a new location. The client/browser should not attempt to request the original location but use the new location from now on.

Status 302 means that the resource is temporarily located somewhere else, and the client/browser should continue requesting the original url.

A 301 redirect is an indicator that the destination of the link has changed URL to a different URL, permanently.

Pages are redirect from old page url to new page url permanently then it is called 301 redirection.

Pages are redirect from old page url to new page url temporary then it is called 302 redirection.

The 301 redirect code is used to specify to crawlers that the content is permanently moved to another location on net.
And 302 redirect code specifies that the content is temporarily moved and is found by crawler.

Hey,

301 - Is permanent redirection, where 302 is a temporary redirection.
It comes handy when we redirect our website to another domain permanently or temporarily.

The definition on this thread are already redundant and they doesn't even know how to apply 301 and 302 in real time action.

A 301 redirect is a permanent redirect. It's like a Change of Address form from the Postal Service. All traffic intended for URL A is permanently routed to URL B, and all link popularity and existing SEO value for URL A should also be transferred to URL B.

A 302 redirect is a temporary redirect. There are very few instances where this type of redirect should be used, but unfortunately it is the easiest to implement. This means that many webmasters unfamiliar with search engine mechanics use the wrong type of redirect.
