Small tips: After the Google SEO update on May 12th(Google Spam Algorithm Version 3.0), 13th(MetaFilter Google Update) & 16th(payday loan algorithm). Most of the over optimized websites were pushed back by Google. Even my websites (I am not a master in optimizing the websites).

So gonna a bit hunt regarding this issue & find out some statements!

Case 1: Google builds a new filter to check the websites in the Top 10 for major searchable keywords (Not any manual review).

If a website ranks for a major searchable keyword within short time! The filter triggers and push the website (which enter into TOP 10 within short span of time) to 2nd or 3rd page or even 5-7th pages (Even if the site optimized correctly). If it is done by Black Hat/Grey Hat, Google have no mercy to make it invisible for some weeks/days. Then place it above 20th pages(May be in Google omitted results).

Case 2: Google checks the Top 10 website's back-links age.

Google push the website back, when the back-links age is less than 60-90 days (SEO master's itself got confused with this range - Can't find what Google determined for back-links age?). So we may not expect the results sooner.

Do not trust the above sentences 100%, But this what I heard from black hat monsters. I don't thing the statements are completely "myth". If it is myth Can you guys tell me what Google webspam team thinks now? Understand the above words if you're struggling with SEO!

Thanks!

I believe that the reason SEO is not working as it suppose to is because webmasters are making it too complicated by reading junk advices and are looking for shortcuts. Kevin is right it takes time so buckle up and allow SEO to take affect.

Thanks Kevin a couple more dudes like you and this forum will be the best.

Thanks buddy! Google is doing so many changes that maybe they messed stuff up and now nothing is working or takes forever to take affect. I understand that Google team now has Bing and Yahoo gaining popularity and they have to do what they have to do in order to keep being the best search engine but so many changes are never good.

I think every webmasters had struggles with SEO for once, but once you get to know how it works then learning can be easy and effective.

World can't breathes freely without Search engines, Search engines cannot live without SEO.

World/Search Engines/SEO - Both the three are dynamic platforms. Changes done/made to them day by day even second to second. You cannot determine exactly "THE SEO" & "How it Works" unless you're the owner of search engine. The end; we can have only the "Approximate Statements".
